The Goddesses of the East have a long and powerful tradition. She is a Mother of many names. As Sengen-Sama, She presides over the sacred mountain at the center of the world. Her sacred mountain is the beloved Mount Fujiyama. The Great Goddess Sengen-Sama is the guardian of the "Sacred Waters of Life" and is still honored today throughout Japan.
The Goddess as "Mother of Mercy" is known in China as Quan Yin, ( Kuan Yin ). It is She, who brought rice into the world, with the milk of Her breast and the blood of Her body. In Japan the Goddess of Compassion and Mercy is known as Kwannon. Her attributes are those associated with abundance, goodness, forgiveness, childbirth, nurturing. She is the Goddess of Sacred Transformation through love.
Amaterasu Omikami, the Great Sun Goddess is the Sacred Ancestress of Japan's Emperors and the granter of imperial authority. Her Sacred Temple at Ise is still completely rebuilt and purified with salt every twenty years. The Goddess is She Who is both the Sun and descends into the caves of the Earth. Caves are sacred to Her, as they are sacred to the Goddesses Brighid and Cerridwen.

The universe will give me all the things I need......If I ask
The sacred balance of Yin and Yang......is my natural state
I am grateful for the abundance that has been given me......
