Iron Man the Movie is GOOD!
I was lucky enough to be invited to the pre-screening of Iron Man at the Metreon in San Francisco last night. Here are some of my thoughts.
I come from the perspective of liking superhero movies, but I wasn't excited about Iron Man. I simply wasn't confident in the choice of Robert Downey Jr. as the hero. I'm happy to say, however, that he was an excellent choice for the role. They needed someone who could play an arrogant, sunnummaaabeeech.
The technology featured in the movie was really cool. I could see the nerd patrol salivating over the computers, etc. The story was not totally cheesy, but it is based on the comic book, so you can expect the same elements as the other movies you've seen. And of course, the special effects were great.
I don't want to give out any spoilers or reveal the story, so I'll wrap it up now. It won't change your life or win an Oscar, but it did what a good movie should: entertain.

I must agree, the movie was really entertaining. More than anything, though, I was absolutely smitten by the Indiana Jones 4 trailer. I swear, Harrison Ford never ages..

Iron Man May 2nd, the premiere! it was awesome and yet I'll see it again, and probably 10 more times after that! it was crowded and it was long wait, but was it worth it? HELL YES!!!! Iron Man: Awesomest Piece of Plastic DvD Rom Ever Made!

Very good movie compared to other comic book movies (SM 3, Incredible Hulk). Not as entertaining as Ghost Rider. Just really looked forward to it a lot and its hard to match the hype. Samuel L. will definitely provide someone for Downey to bounce off of in the sequel.

I haven't been to a threater since Star Wars Episode 3. I just can't stand other people slurping drinks, crinkeling wrappers, sticky floors, little punk kids with Cellphones, and just other stuff.
The vein in my forhead pops out and my teeth grit together with hatred. Anger Management class can only do so much...

ghost rider SUCKED! did u stay till the end of the movie of iron man, seriously... it was random but funny!!! and iron man beats ghost rider bit will it be the new incredible hulk movie?

Kalell was not forced to see Transformers by the way. Anyway I have been listening to the Howard Stern show and here recently they have been raving about it saying it was one of the best movies they have ever seen.

did u guys stayed after the credits? SAMUEL l. JACKSON is playing captain fury and asks IRONMAN to join the AVENGERS......... it was cool, but the AVENGERS movie won't be out for another 3 years at least

Iron Man was a superior movie but 300 is way better. I am a desendent of the real spartans. Tonite we dine in hell!!!

I watched it and thought it was amazing. The graphics were sweet and a pretty good plot. I will definately buy it when it comes out on DVD
