Access to Archives (A2A)

The pages contain detailed information on the A2A programme. They provide background about Phases 1-4 of A2A.

The A2A database is hosted by The National Archives on behalf of smaller repositories throughout England. The database allows you to search and browse catalogues from many archives in England, dating from the 900s to the present day. These archives are cared for in local record offices and libraries, universities, museums and national and specialist institutions across England, where they are made available to the public.

To search A2A, please visit the main A2A site. If you have come to this page from the main A2A site, it should be in a new browser window. You can minimise or close this window to return to the main A2A site.
