Diplo and Dark Meat Split Whirlyball Single
Diplo and Athens, Georgia psych collective Dark Meat have joined the ranks of Black Lips and Deerhunter by teaming up for the third installment in Chunklet's "WhirlyBall" singles series. Dark Meat cover Iggy Pop's "Success" on their half of the single, and Diplo uses his half to give Dark Meat's cover a remix, which he's titled "Unsuccessful Space Jam". Both tracks are exclusive to the single. Check out the sweet artwork here.
Like the previous singles in the series, this one is only available in a limited edition at Atlanta's Criminal Records, starting today. Also like its predecessors, it includes a ticket to a show, namely Diplo and Dark Meat at WhirlyBall Atlanta on July 12.
Diplo and Dark Meat have another Georgia show together the night before at Athens' 40 Watt Club. They also have some summer dates apart from each other.
