Nintendo E3 Press Conference Report!

Earlier today, GamePro was at the Nintendo Press Conference and brought the details as they happened. Here is the report.

Some delicious techno music is playing, lights are dimming...

Shaun White is playing his snowboarding game. Looks fun. Game arrives before the end of the year.

Satoru Iwata: "Not even Nintendo employees believed the company could be selling millions of bathroom scales, five years later..."

Animal Crossing: City Folk coming to Wii in 2008. Game supports email. Wii Speak set-top peripheral announced: VOIP has arrived on Wii.

Reggie Fils-Aime takes the stage: In case you didn't know, Nintendo is doing very well, thank you. Star Wars: The Clone Wars shown. Game looks good. Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party shown, to use balance board. Call of Duty: World at War shown. Looks really good for a Wii game.

Spore Creatures and Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades announced for Nintendo DS. Both coming this fall. Pokemon Rangers coming November 10.

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars announced for DS. Coming this winter. Set in a modern-day Liberty City.

DS being tested in airports, baseball parks, and kitchens as an electronic cook books.

Reggie discussing Wii MotionPlus. Renders every slight motion twist movement. Wii Sports Resort announced. Three games shown. Frisby game shown. Wave runner game shown. Sword slashing, fighting game shown. "What we've shown today, is just a small taste of Wii Sports Resort." -- Reggie

Wii Sports coming spring 2009.

Drumming game shown. Seemingly works well. It is revealed as Wii Music. Miyamoto enters stage and is playing jazz music with the drummer, all using Wii remotes and balance boards. Coming this holiday. Game will instruct how to play real drums.

Live performances look fun, but sound muddy, sloppy, and like a garage band...

Briefing ends. Reggie says "Fad is inoperable," meaning Wii and DS were never gimmicks. They are here to say in a big way.
