Why is the xbox 360 such a piece of junk? I am on my fourth system and still having problems with it.

It's not that the Xbox 360 is a piece of junk as an overall videogame console, the problem is hardware specific. Microsoft outsourced both the hardware design and manufacturing to two different companies. Some say the main reason for so many failed 360s is that a cheap type of lead-free solder was used, and when exposed to elevated temperatures can become brittle and develop hair-line cracks.
You're not the only one, blaze, to have gone through so many 360s. Brian Crecente of Kotaku is on his ninth unit. I honestly consider myself lucky to have not had any problems with my 360 to date. *Knock on wood*
