Low, Tapes 'n Tapes Dudes Play MN Obama Benefit

For starters, it's called "Eight Is Enough: The Concert to End Our Long, National Nightmare", so if you arrive in your fresh John McCain t-shirt (and probably, like, socks with sandals), you may be the recipient of a scowl or three.

On August 27 at St. Paul, Minnesota's Turf Club, organizers Andrew Broder of Fog and Joe Selinski of The Dad in Common will rope in a good cross-section of left-leaning Minnesota talent. Just to gripe? Nah, not just; as they put it, the night's aim will be to "raise money for Barack Obama, and to loudly reject the disastrous Republican Agenda and its unwelcome infiltration of St. Paul." Said inflitration will take place during the Republican National Convention, September 1-4 in the Twin Cities.

For "Eight is Enough", Broder and Selinski will bring in the likes of Low, Josh Grier and Jeremy Hansen of Tapes 'n Tapes, Dosh, STNNNG, Kill the Vultures, Skoal Kodiak, and P.O.S., plus DJs from Burlesque Design, Rhymesayers, and some special guests. Bring the pocketbook, and don't forget your soapbox!
