Saddle Creek: it's definitely not just for homegrown indie folk anymore.

Following last year's addition of Canada's Tokyo Police Club to the label's once Omaha-centric roster, Saddle Creek has kept the Canuck love coming by welcoming Sebastien Grainger into the fold.

You may remember Grainger as the drummer/vocalist for celebrated bass'n'drums duo Death From Above 1979, or for his more dance-oriented current project the Rhythm Method. But when Grainger goes by his given name, it means he's all about two things and two things only: the rock, and the roll.

Grainger recently issued the four-song digital EP American Names and the Canada-only "American Names" 7" (on Outside Music), and he'll hit us with the Sebastien Grainger and the Mountains full-length this October ("The Mountains" being "not really a band, [but] the idea of a band," according to Grainger's MySpace). The tracklist for that one is still coming together, but it will include EP cuts "American Names" and "Ways to Come Home".

Will 'bastien save the Childlike Empress and restore the land of Fantasia??? Um, find out at these tour stops below.
