Museum of Art:

Opera:

PA Ballet:

Philadelphia Orchestra:

Founded in 1900, The Philadelphia Orchestra has distinguished itself as one of the leading orchestras in the world through a century of acclaimed performances, historic international tours, best-selling recordings, and its unprecedented record of innovation in recording technologies and outreach. Recent Philadelphia Orchestra highlights include multi-casting a concert to large-screen venues through the Internet2 network; the launch of the Orchestra's Online Music Store, www.thephiladelphiaorchestra.com, in September 2006; regular broadcasts on NPR beginning in April 2006; a series of critically acclaimed recordings led by Mr. Eschenbach and released in partnership with Ondine Records; and a $125 million endowment campaign launched in 2003.

Kimmel Center:

Broadway Academy:

The Kimmel Center presents two of the hottest productions currently on Broadway this season: The Color Purple and The Drowsy Chaperone will make their respective Philadelphia debuts at the Academy of Music. Plus, a beloved Broadway classic, My Fair Lady, returns to Philadelphia to delight a new generation of theatre lovers. Finally, the Forrest Theatre will host Avenue Q, the 2004 Tony Award® winner for Best Musical, when it makes its Philadelphia debut.

Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia:

"A founding resident company of The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia is a 33-member ensemble led by Ignat Solzhenitsyn, now in his fourth season as Music Director. The Orchestra, founded in 1964 by Marc Mostovoy, has a well-established reputation for distinguished performances of repertoire from the Baroque period through the twenty-first century.

The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia performs ten pairs of concerts during its subscription season in the Kimmel Center's intimate, 600-seat Perelman Theater from September through May. The 2007 - 2008 season features five major themes: Masters of All Time, Great Soloists, Baroque Perspectives, Classical Discoveries and A Composer's Portrait of Terry Riley, featuring the World Premi?re of his Triple Concerto for two guitars and violin and the composer offering his own piano improvisations. To date, The Orchestra has over seventy commissions and premi?re performances to its credit, including seven works written since the turn of the century.

The ensemble also travels regularly, having toured the United States, Europe and Israel."

Philadanco!:

"The Philadelphia Dance Company (Philadanco) founded by Joan Myers Brown in 1970, is a modern contemporary dance company that tours nationally and internationally. For 34 years, the company has traveled the country and the world, performing before sold-out audiences of diverse people of all ages, creed, ethnicity and cultural traditions. PHILADANCO has a history of being a trailblazer, we were the pilot dance company to be part of the State of Pennsylvania, Comprehensive Education Training Act, arts training program. We were one of the first companies to hire our dancers on a 52 week salary, the first to own housing for the dancers and the first to own a debt-free facility. We are also the company which founded the International Conference of Black Dance Companies and International Association of Blacks in Dance which addresses the special needs of the African American dance community in a supportive environment, and produces an annual conference."

Chamber of Music:

"The Philadelphia Chamber Music Society (PCMS) was created so people from all walks of life could enjoy world-renowned chamber music and recital artists. PCMS serves this mission through its unique policy of affordable ticket pricing - enabling audiences to hear the Guarneri, Emerson, Juilliard and Tokyo Quartets, recitalists Richard Goode and Midori, and many other leading musicians for just $22.50 per ticket or less.

The PCMS season consists of more than 60 chamber music concerts, instrumental and vocal recitals, jazz and special programs. A Resident Company of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, PCMS performs in the Perelman Theater and other Philadelphia venues. PCMS also collaborates regularly with prominent cultural institutions, and presents 50 education programs to enrich the lives of young people and others through exposure to great music-making.

PCMS was founded by Anthony Checchia in 1986. American Theatre Arts for Youth:
