Dozens of residents attended an emergency community meeting Wednesday night after the slaying of a 27-year-old mother.

City Councilman Kevin Kelley Sr. called for the meeting of the Hedgeville community. It was held at the intersection of Linden Street and South Van Buren, where the shooting occurred.

Police said 27-year-old Annabelle Ramirez-Sanchez was shot dead outside her home on Monday. Police said they believed she was caught in the crossfire of a shootout.

Police added that they were looking for two men seen running from the scene, NBC 10 News reported.
