Men's Religious Orders: Capuchin Franciscans

The Capuchin Franciscan Friars, a religious community of brothers and priests, were founded in 1528. Following St. Francis of Assisi, the Capuchins strove to live more simply, serve the poor, and preach the Word of God. Those characteristics have remained the chief features of Capuchins to this day as seen in their inner city ministries, meal programs for the poor, and retreat centers that nourish the People of God with food for body and soul.
