A County of Monterey Transportation Investment Plan proposition, also known as Measure Z, takes place on November 4, 2008 for voters residing in Monterey, California.

The question facing voters is whether they want to adopt a 25-year sales tax of 1/2 of 1%, the proceeds of which would be earmarked toward road and transportation projects, including work on Highways 1, 68, 156 and 101.

A 2/3rds majority of those voting in the election will be required for passage.
