Home Q&A;: Replace wood to get rid of ants (  0)
September 6, 2008
Q. Ants: Hundreds of them. I have at least 500 carpenter ants, big ones, in my house, and I have sprayed and sprayed. Many go away but others keep coming back. There is an area of rotted wood outside where I have sprayed. What else can I do? I even sprayed indoors.

Home Q&A;: What to do about rusty posts ( 0)
August 23, 2008
Q. I have several posts in my basement holding up a center beam. They are steel filled with concrete, and are developing one-quarter-inch holes with rust showing through. My husband sanded off the rust and painted the posts, but the rust persisted. What can I do now? Will the posts continue to hold their weight?
