  Services: Twinning (Parish to Parish)

A TWINNING RELATIONSHIP is an active, mutual and ongoing commitment between two faith communities to bond together spiritually, culturally, and economically. TWINNING involves two communities and their individual members. The hope is that this relationship would not become an exclusive or one way process, but a stepping stone to solidarity and greather exchange in the world-wide mission of Jesus. TWINNING is also described as "an ongoing, active relationship when persons of one parish enter with persons of another/other parishes, for the purpose of mutual giftedness, as a concrete expression of the unity of the church." TWINNING becomes a reality according to the way the parishes involved fashion out their sharing relationship with each other. Twinning has also been called parish sharing, pairing, parish to parish sharing, parish partnership, sister parishes, etc.
