Dodgeball is a social networking software provider for mobile devices. It was acquired by Google in May 2005. Users text their location to the service, which then notifies them of crushes, friends, friends' friends and interesting venues nearby.[1] In April 2007, the founders of Dodgeball quit Google to work on other projects.[2]
