The 2007 Meineke Car Care Bowl, part of the 2007-08 NCAA football bowl games season, was played on December 29, 2007 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Connecticut Huskies, came in as Co Big East champions, taking on Wake Forest,who play just 80 miles from its campus in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

[edit] Game summary

The Huskies used a punt return touchdown by Larry Taylor to take a 7-0 lead in the first quarter, and added a field goal in the second to take a 10-0 halftime lead.

The Deacons came back strong in the second half, getting a touchdown run from Josh Adams and a touchdown pass from Riley Skinner to John Tereshinski to give the Deacons their first lead of the game.

Wake added 10 more points in the fourth quarter with a Sam Swank field goal and a Micah Andrews touchdown with under one minute to play to finish off the Huskies 24-10.
