Image:Reflecting_god_bible.jpg The '''''Reflecting God Study Bible''''' is a study Bible published by Zondervan in conjunction with the Christian Holiness Partnership which, as a Wesleyan revision of the ''NIV_Study_Bible'', utilized the New_International_Version (NIV). Following a 10-year negotiation with Zondervan by two publishing consortiums, Holiness Publishers Alliance, and Light and Life Communications, Zondervan struck an agreement with the Christian_Holiness_Partnership resulting in this volume. Publisher of Light and Life Communications, John Van Valin, guided the process, including the selection of the title, through to its sponsorship by Christian Holiness Partnership. The Reflecting God Study Bible relies on the basic commentary included in the original NIV Study Bible. Under the leadership of Dr. Wayne McCown, general editor of the revisions however, commentary contained in the Reflecting God veers away from the subtle overtones of Reformed and Calvinistic theology and represents a more Arminian and Wesleyan understanding. Written from the standpoint of the optimism of grace, that God can not only deal with past sins but with providing grace to live a holy life, this volume provides an antidote to current and historical tendencies toward antinomianism sometimes seen within Reformed and Calvinistic constructs. {{Christian-book-stub}} Category:Study_Bibles
