Jovana Janković

Jovana Janković (Serbian: Јована Јанковић) is a Serbian television personality and host described as the trade mark of Radio Television of Serbia, the national broadcaster of the country. Together with Željko Joksimović, she will be the host of the 53rd edition of Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade.

Jovana Janković started her early television career at the age of 19. While completing university Janković received a job offer at BKTV. She started off as an entertainment reporter working for shows “Blockbuster” and “Trailer” both related to the cinema world. Noticing her obvious talents at hosting the director of Serbia’s national television RTS, Aleksandar Tijanić, proposed for Jovana to move to the national broadcaster giving her title of anchor woman of the “Morning Programme” aired weekdays from 6am to 9am. Because of her age Janković has received the nickname of “Tijanić’s baby” as she is one of the youngest working at the network next to her co-host.[1] She still hosts the morning programme and has become the corporate face of the network.

Since moving to RTS and the morning programme Jelena has gained a fan base of viewers and has appeared on the covers of Serbian magazines such as “Gloria”, "Svet" and “TV Revija”.

Jovana Janković hosted the draw for the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest semi-finals in the Belgrade city hall. On March 4, 2008 it was announced that together with Željko Joksimović Jovana will co-host the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade, Serbia to be held from 20 – 24 May 2008 in the Belgrade Arena.[2]

In an interview Janković revealed some of her personal beliefs. She says French and Italian cuisine are her favourites, her favourite alcoholic drink is white wine, her favourite city in the world is New York and her favourite car manufacturer is Mercedes.[3]

Personally she says she believed in love at first sight and would never have get a tattoo. She states she also thinks very highly of her morning programme co-host.
