Stanford Routt (born July 26, 1983 in Austin, Texas) is an National Football League cornerback with the Oakland Raiders.

Stanford Routt attended Connally High School in Austin, Texas, and was a two-sport standout in both football and track. In football, In track, he was a Unanimous All-District and an All-America selection, and was also a state qualifier in both the 200 meter dash and the 4 x 400 metres relay team. As a junior, he ran the ninth-fastest 200-meter dash in the nation. He ran the fastest 40 yard dash time at the Texas A&M summer football camp in 2000 by clocking a 4.23.

Routt recorded the fastest 40 yard dash in the 2005 NFL combine.

Stanford Routt then attended the University of Houston and excelled in indoor track and outdoor track as well as football. He finished his football career with seven interceptions, 136 tackles (3 for losses), a fumble recovery, 23 pass deflections, a blocked kick, and 3 kickoff returns for 36 yards(12 yards per kickoff ret. avg.). In indoor track, he was named Conference USA's Men's Indoor Track Athlete-of-the-Year.

In addition to being a standout CB, was one of the top sprinters in Conference USA...Split time between track and football his first three years at the University of Houston...Played in 47 career games for the Cougars, starting 27...Recorded 136 career tackles (111 solos) with three stops for losses of 15 yards, seven interceptions for 96 yards in returns, 23 pass break-ups, a fumble recovery, a blocked kick and three kickoff returns for 36 yards...All-Conference USA third-team choice as a senior in 2004...Started all year at right CB, making a career-high 60 tackles (53 solos) with two stops for losses of 8 yards and a fumble recovery...Intercepted two passes for 37 yards in returns and gained 36 yards on three kickoff returns...Also deflected eight passes...
