Virginia "Ginny" Duenkel (March 7, 1947) is an American swimmer who represented the United States at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. She medaled in two swimming events as a 17-year old, winning a Gold medal in the 400 meter freestyle and a Bronze medal in the 100 meter backstroke.
Duenkel was an honoree of the International Swimming Hall of Fame, one of twelve individuals honored in 1985.[1]
Ginny Duenkel Municipal Pool in her hometown of West Orange, New Jersey is named in her honor. She attended West Orange High School.[2]
