Sonia Benezra (born September 25, 1960) is a Canadian TV and radio personality who formerly hosted shows on MusiquePlus, MusiMax, MuchMusic and MuchMoreMusic. She hosted for 5 seasons on TQS television (French network) a daily live talk show. The show was ground breaking in that it was open to English entertainment figures. The show produced over 200 shows per year with more than 1 million viewers per show. Sonia worked as co-host(2008-2009) for English radio station CFQR (Q92)afternoon drive show. She is also involved in the "Walk for Breast Cancer" charities in and around the Island of Montreal
Known for her unbelievable and insightful interviews she has been personally asked by the likes of Sir Paul McCartney and Sting to conduct interviews for them while on promotional tours in Canada. Sonia is also an accomplished actress having done a number of TV and film roles.
She is of Moroccan Sephardic Jewish heritage, and lives in the province of Québec.
