[edit] Biography

[edit] Early life and career

Moore was born Ashley Rogers in Sunnyvale, California. She had two younger brothers, Aeron and Jaysone. With the support of her family, close friends, manager, and agents, Moore began acting at age four. Sid Kozac, chose her for a role in a "B.C. Chicken" commercial when she was just 5. Other commercials followed and then the series The Odyssey began. Moore played in split roles as Alpha and Donna. The show lasted three seasons, ending in 1994 with 39 episodes.

Moore's most famous role came in 1995 when she was cast as Chrissy in the film Now and Then. She dyed her hair neon red and gained an extra 20 pounds for her role. "We are very very opposite, but in a lot of ways we are very much the same," Moore said of her character in a Tiger Beat interview. "I like to think I am practical and level headed and that's something I share with Chrissy. She's the glue that holds the group together. Even though Chrissy doesn't take a really strong leadership role, theirs is a quiet bond and everybody kind of knows that if it wasn't for her they wouldn't be together."[cite this quote]

Over the years, Moore guest starred on popular television shows such as Madison, Northern Exposure, and Strange Luck. Moore's last role was in an episode of Touched by an Angel in 1997.

After Moore stopped acting professionally in 1997, she continued to act, appearing in her friends' student films at Vancouver College. She also belonged to the Vancouver Network.
