Manuel Teixeira Gomes, GCSE (pronounced [mɐnuˈɛɫ tɐiˈʃɐiɾɐ ˈgomɨʃ]; Portimão, May 27, 1862 - Bougie, October 18, 1941) was a Portuguese political figure. He served as the president of Portugal between 5 October 1923 and 11 December 1925.

Born in the region of the Algarve, he never finished studying medicine at the University of Coimbra, but become famous as one of the best Portuguese writers in the naturalist style.

An independent republican, he was chosen to be the moderate Liberal Republican Party candidate, in the 1923 presidential elections, then held in the Congress of the Republic. He defeated former President Bernardino Machado. He had to resign due to the strong campaign of defamation that Prime Minister António Maria da Silva led against him.
