As with most arts organizations, ticket sales represent less than 50% of our revenues each year. The remainder is made up by the generosity of foundations, civic-minded corporate partners and generous individuals like you.

The BCO is a 27-year-old organization in a period of renewal. Steven Lipsitt was named Music Director in 1999, taking over the reins from Harry Ellis Dickson after 16 years as Music Director. Under Lipsitt's spirited leadership, the orchestra has garnered enthusiastic audience response and positive critical reviews. We feature world-class Boston-based soloists and are involved in a community outreach program in conjunction with the Boston Public Schools. The BCO is an organization that continues to make a remarkable contribution to the Boston musical community on a very small budget: your support can make a difference.
