$10 billion gambled. 16 million gamblers. And $2.5 billion skimmed by conmen and gangsters from only 31 casinos. Nevada? In fact this is Macau, the world's newest and richest gambling hub - and with Triads and police battling to control the acres of green baize, soon to be the backdrop for China's latest state-sponsored executions.

If only there were Oscars for Best Kick In The Head or Most Insane Car Chase, then Jason Statham would get the respect he deserves, as the best (or at least the awesomest) British actor in decades. This week's Transporter 3 offers few surprises and instead concentrates on Statham jumping sideways firing two pistols at once, in between high-octane stunts. Which he does himself, of course.
With their all-black wardrobe and bleak songs like Daddy's Gone, indie rockers Glasvegas sound like we all feel right now. Revel in the gloom when they play Shepherd's Bush Empire tomorrow - promoting their Christmas mini-album A Snowflake Fell. Yes, you heard that right.
Britney Spears is actually looking good these days - either that, or there's a new, super-powered version of Photoshop we haven't heard of yet. Not only that, but the teen starlet turned madwoman turned adult starlet has released a new album, Circus - and it's really not bad. £8.95, play.com
The rule for Wi-Fi radios used to be simple: `You can have any colour you like, as long as it's ugh. These days, though, they look rather dapper, and none more so than Tivoli's NetWorks, which offers thousands of radio stations and, er, an FM aerial if you so desire. £489, tivoliaudio.com
Is a bottle of Bushmills a good enough present? It is when it's a limited-edition, toffee-smooth, 400th anniversary blend of the very best of the Northern Irish distillery's `crystal malts'. Actually that's too good. Keep this, give socks. £49, bushmills.com
The Sopranos ended - or did it? - in a cryptic scene that fans say makes sense if you trawl all six series for clues. So that's your excuse for splashing out on this new box set: four solid days worth of murder, betrayal, `gabagool' and size 50 vests. But there's no guarantee that at the end you'll be any the wiser... `The Sopranos Complete Series Deluxe Edition', £93, amazon.co.uk

An old-school number-crunching role-player is going to be too much like hard work for many, but its open-ended approach, which sees you sketch out dungeons yourself, means it stays fresh, and the skills-based combat system is satisfying. DS, £34.99, 3/5
This 2D space shooter set on a sheet of graph paper where you're assaulted by shapes is like a scientific study into how much stress, fear and anxiety you can endure. When the endless waves of shapes finally kill you, you feel relieved-then your hand reaches out for the Play Again button... Xbox, £4.50, 4/5
Japanese beat-em-up game that features the usual cast of oddball characters battering each other with swords-as well as, for some inexplicable reason, the Star Wars characters Darth Vader and Yoda. PS3, £50, 3/5
This simple but effective sim offers a mountain of slopes to conquer. There are no jumps, but plenty of moguls and black runs - and even lifts to ride. You can control your skier with a Balance Board if you've got one. Wii, £19.99 4/5
I am currently a helpless slave to this. It's simply the best arcade update ever, with psychedelic backgrounds, mind-shredding pace and insane power-ups creating a glorious ode to a classic. DS, PSP, 34.99 5/5
Yes, it's still Guitar Hero. Yes, the music doesn't sound bad. But playing on the DS turns your hand into an agonised little claw after half an hour, and somehow without a big plastic guitar, the action feels a little bit silly... DS, £34.99 3/5 5/5
It might be a bit long in the tooth ¿ it originally came out on PS2 ¿ but this magical tale of a sun-god in dog form is still breathtaking. The quirky Japanese art is genuinely beautiful, and the magical drawings you do on screen make this very different to normal RPGs.
Oh dear. This shameless rip-off of Nintendo's Brain Training games uses a board-game expert rather than a brain professor - big mistake. Dr Knizia's brain benders don't tickle the grey matter nearly enough, which makes the whole thing pointless. DS, £20, 3+ 1/5
The good news: dozens of formats, circuits and cars, great visuals and a nifty flashback feature that rewinds the game to the moment just before you lost it. The bad news: the racing¿s fun but not very realistic. From £29.99, most formats
This legal sequel is short on innovation - basically, it's exactly the same game as Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - but it's still a smart puzzle/RPG title that's a lot wittier and more cerebral than most games on the DS. Nintendo DS, £34.99, 12+ 3/5
Trying to do the hula hoop simply by shifting your weight on the Wii Fit balance board is one of the most enjoyable game experiences this year, and there's a huge variety of other exercises to try. Wii Fit isn¿t a real fitness coach - it's thin on cardio, rich on novelty - but it's superb fun nonetheless. Wii, £125, 3+ 4/5
The creators of the superb Disney RPGs Kingdom Hearts dare to innovate with this offbeat RPG set in contemporary Japan - and create one of the best games on DS in the process. This weird and unsettling Manga-esque tale of a ghostly new Tokyo is smart, well-written, and ultra-cool: everything games are supposed not to be. A bit hard, but pretty much essential for DS owners. Nintendo DS, £35 3/5
They don't make 'em like this any more. This cult Nineties shoot-'em-up is probably the hardest 2D shooter of all time. It genuinely looks like it's snowing bullets on screen - but sharp game design means you keep playing, keep shooting and keep praying to survive. Xbox 360, £5, 3+ 4/5
Shipping with a cute plastic steering wheel that fits on to your Wiimote, this is the perfect introduction to this superb cartoony kart series. It's the best full-size Mario Kart in years: hilarious, over-the-top, packed with insane power-ups - and nearly impossible to play without shouting. Wii, £40, 3+ 5/5

Weapons dealer Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jnr) leads a life of fast cars and loose women until, after realising guns kill people, he grows a conscience and makes himself an `Iron Man' suit, complete with flying ability and flamethrower arms, to fight evil. Downey Jnr's charismatic performance elevates this otherwise average superhero tale. £19.99
Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller prove their acting credentials as the two women in the life of legendary poet Dylan Thomas, who despite their love-rival status form a strong friendship. A beautifully shot, if ultimately unmoving drama.
Diehard fans quaked when a Terminator TV spin-off was announced - starring an English actress to boot. But Headey is if anything tougher and more convincing in the Linda Hamilton part - and Glau as the alluring robot bodyguard adds a new dimension to T-800 technology: she can chew food and make 15-year-old future leaders of mankind fancy her. £29.99
An oddball romantic comedy with serious overtones, dealing with weighty issues such as racial stereotyping and age-divide relationships. Leung is a Chinese-American actor in LA struggling to get non-chinese roles - and with the allure of a high-school girl. But when he inherits a house in China and tries to fit in there, he experiences real cultural alienation. £12.99
A shocking exercise in casual violence, as a holidaying couple in their lakeside cottage are terrorised by two seemingly harmless neighbours who one day call round to borrow eggs. It's supposedly 'post-modern' - including conspirational winks to the audience by the villains - but also deeply disturbing if you frighten easily. £17.99
