Centrally located between the capital Kiev and Ukraine's second city Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk boasts a population in excess of one million people. The financial centre of the country, over 40 of the largest public and private banks are located in this young and thriving city. The many spacious parks give a sense of countryside amid the high-tech companies and metal industry. Its main football club, FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, are regular competitors in the UEFA Cup.
