US-41/M-28 Michigamme curves project begins

ESTIMATED COMPLETION DATE: Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009

PROJECT: The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is reconstructing and realigning approximately 3 miles of US-41/M- 28 in the area locally known as the Michigamme curves. The project includes drainage improvements, guardrail upgrades and pavement marking, between Brown Road and the Marquette/Baraga county line.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: This project will require traffic shifts, lane closures with flag control, and a temporary traffic signal.

CUSTOMER BENEFIT: When completed, this project will improve ride quality, promote safety, and extend the service life of the highway.
