Morrissey Release Details Confirmed, Shows Scheduled

Years of Refusal, the forthcoming solo LP from onetime Smiths frontman (and world's best babysitter) Morrissey, will be released in the UK on February 16 from Decca/Polydor. Moz will sneak out a single for "I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris" on February 9, joined by the B-sides "Because of My Poor Education" and "Shame Is the Name". "Shame", as it turns out, finds Moz joined on vocals by none other than Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders.

Though the disc hits stores in February, Moz apparently won't hit the stage in the UK 'til May, when he has a trio of shows scheduled. The second of the three shows, May 22 at Manchester's Apollo, will coincide with the Mozfather's 50th birthday, according to True to You.

Happy early b-day, Morrissey! Wait, is "happy" really the word I'm looking for?
