This blog is by SQL Programmability & API dev team.
Our team implements some of the essential engine components like plan cache, metadata storage, framework for executing queries, type system, XML runtime, extensibility and CLR runtime.
The target audience for this BLOG is SQL customer who is intimately involved with inner operations of SQL Server and who would like to learn more. We will structure our posts according to technology areas and we will try to tie together posts that have similar themes.
The purpose of this blog is twofold:
(a) to provide more detailed (technical) explanations to our customers so that customers can make better decisions
(b) to learn more how our customers are using the product so that we can make better engineering decisions in the future
