Energy Balance in Solar array-PMAD system (dynamic, ~1 minute/sample)
Detailed analysis of a space power system using solar array and battery. The models provide linearized analysis to one-minute time steps. Detailed worksheets are provided for the battery and solar array. Plots are generated for system load and resultant battery DOD (Depth of Discharge).
File name: Power Calc.xls

Solar Array curve generator
Predict solar array performance given curve fitted Galium Arsenide (GaAs) solar cell. Factors are included for temperature and radiation. Plots are generated for IV and power curves.
File name: SACALC-GaAs.XLS

Regulated bus sizing tool (static)
Given load, a static analysis is provided for array and battery sizing. Battery DOD is generated and excess solar array size.
File name: Regulated Bus Sizing Tool.xls

Receiver ROC curve (Bit error vs S/N)
Predict Bit Error Rate (BER) for a communications channel versus signal to noise ratio. A plot of BER is generated versus S/N in dB.
File name: Receiver ROC Curve.xls

Radiation temperature (surface in space w/wo sunlight)
Predict surface temperature of an exposed panel to a given background temperature. The heat flow is assumed to be by radiation only.
File name: Radiation Temperature.xls

Battery Simulation (Li-Ion)
Lithium Ion battery test model that shows charge and discharge effects on cell capacity. Battery parameters are adjustable. DOD, SOC and terminal voltages are calculated.
File: Battery Simulation(Li-Ion).xls
