Students of MICA! You have a new calling! Dan Deacon announced on his MySpace page today that he needs interns to help him prepare the scores for 15 of his newest compositions, which was not a problem when he was making squeaky-voice dance tracks. He's paying an actually-really-generous $15 an hour to help him clean up and transcribe those compositions, and like fellow Baltimore entrepreneur Avon Barksdale, he pays cash.

If you're in the Baltimore area, you know how to read and transcribe sheet music, you know Reason and Sibelius, and you "are familiar with nontraditional forms of musical notation," you are exactly what Dan Deacon needs.

Actually, judging by that list of requirements, not too many MICA students will make the cut. Students of Peabody! You have a new calling! Hit up your boy!

In related news, according to that MySpace blog post, Deacon is currently listening to Gamelan Jegog Werdi Senatana's Bamboo Gamelan of Bali, which of course he is.
