Full Biography
Hailing from Peoria, Illinois, the members of The Forecast--bassist Shannon Burns and guitarists Dustin Addis and Matt Webb, who all contribute vocals--came together in 2001. Inspired by the blue-collar lives in their hometown and taking cues from indie staples such as Rainer Maria, Braid and The Anniversary, the group ups the ante by alternating from sweet harmonies and meandering rock riffs to the breakneck intensity of indie rock and punk.
After signing to Victory Records in 2004, The Forecast released Late Night Conversations, produced by A.J. Mogis in May 2005. The album received critical acclaim from magazines and newspapers across North America. Their highly anticipated follow up, In The Shadow of Two Gunmen, is cathartic, southern-tinged rock in the vein of Rainer Maria, Ryan Adams and Wilco and is slated for release in May 2006.
