Full Biography

Hailing from Sparta, New Jersey, independent rock band foursome, Hero Pattern has emerged with their debut album.

Born in the fall of 2001, Hero Pattern is the vision of childhood friends Jason Kundrath (vocals/guitar), Mike Kundrath (drumbs), Rob Fitzgerald (bass), and Pierre "Pete" Marceau (guitar). The band's debut album, Cut You Out, combines substantial choruses, revelatory verses and instantly accessible melodies.

Hero Pattern's roots can be traced back to 1996, when Jason and Rob founded a three-piece band called Nebulous Thoughts. Meanwhile, Pete was busy with his band The Mellowtraumatics. Soon Rob and Pete were able to find some spare time to form Hero Pattern as a side project. Their collaboration opened the door for Pete and later Mike to join the band. They soon recorded The Reception EP, and in 2003 Hero Pattern returned to the studio to record their debut full-length album, Cut You Out.

With over three years under their belts and a meticulous command over their craft, Hero Pattern is about to make a different kind of break and catapult to the next level. "This band has become the clutch of all of our engines," says Jason. "And we're just going to keep driving down the road."
