Are the WWE Superstars Available for Charity Appearances?

GUIDELINES FOR CHARITY APPEARANCES OR MEETINGS FOR THOSE WITH LIFE-THREATENING ILLNESSES

  • All requests for personal appearances by WWE Superstars must be in writing.
  • The organization should be a registered charity, as WWE does not charge a fee when the appearance is of a philanthropic nature.
  • The request should come directly from the charity and not from any third party purporting to represent that charity.
  • Personal appearances can only be arranged when WWE Superstars are working in the local area where the requested appearance is to take place and when scheduling permits. A local area is considered to be within a 20-mile radius from the arena.
  • Although WWE does not charge for charitable appearances, the agency requesting the appearance is liable for all travel and other costs associated with the appearance.
  • WWE Superstars attending any charitable event are selected by WWE.

NOTE: All press releases and advertising for any appearances are subject for approval by WWE Entertainment. Any press releases or publicity information can only be released when the agency requesting the appearance is in receipt of a written approval by WWE. The agency requesting the appearance must be able to provide a suitable facility with adequate security. WWE reserves the right to cancel appearances if the facility or the situation is felt to be inadequate and unsafe.

Disclaimer: We are unable to guarantee any particular individual and appearances are subject to change.

Do WWE Superstars participate in any school or library programs?

WWE participates in two programs, the Get R.E.A.L Read program and the Get R.E.A.L. School program.

Get R.E.A.L. Read

WWE had partnered with the American Library Association to support literacy and the use of public libraries. The Get R.E.A.L. Read program stops at libraries across the country and is aimed for younger audiences where WWE Superstars reiterate the importance of reading. Last year's successful program found WWE Superstars reading to 100 - 250 children at each event.

WWE Get R.E.A.L. Read will visit several other cities throughout the year and encourages all fans to join in at these fun reading events.

Get R.E.A.L. School

WWE Superstars are often asked to speak to young people about their real lives - out the ring - and what has helped them achieve their goals. As a result, WWE Entertainment created Get R.E.A.L., an in-school program that brings WWE Superstars into senior and junior high schools to deliver positive messages on education, literacy, safety and goal-setting.

The program is built around four core tenets that can be critical in helping youth achieve success in their lives:

  • Respect: Increasing self-respect and respect for others.
  • Education: learning the value and importance of a good education in everyday life.
  • Achievement: Establishing and achieving personal goals.
  • Leadership: Learning to be a leader, and to set a path, free of peer pressure, in order to achieve one's dreams.

WWE Superstars seek to impart these values through an interactive discussion with young people. They talk about their own personal histories, life challenges and achievements, and encourage young people to resist peer pressure, avoid self-destructive behavior and take advantage of their time in school to get an education.
