Philadelphia - The Philadelphia Soccer Seven has named Drexel senior forward Carlos Ruthner (Delran, N.J./Lakewood) its Player of the Week for his performance during the week ending on Sunday, Oct. 26. Ruthner led the Dragons to a thrilling 2-1 double-overtime victory against Northeastern on Wednesday. The striker scored Drexel’s first goal in the 27th minute and assisted on Mike Crosse’s game-winning header with 47 seconds left in the second overtime. The victory kept Drexel’s unbeaten streak alive. The Dragons have now played seven straight matches without a loss.

Ruthner leads the Dragons back on the field on Wednesday, Oct. 29, when the team travels to play George Mason in a 7:00 p.m. match.  Drexel is currently in third place on the CAA leaderboard and the Dragons have not lost a conference match since the season opener on Sept. 27.
