OK, auctioning stuff off for a good cause is always a good idea. Detroit scene fixture Jim Shaw has cancer, and it looks bad, so a whole lot of Motor City rock people have banded together to raise money for him. Thus, the Jim Shaw Fundraiser auction. Original photos of the Stooges and the Misfits are up for bidding, and so is one of the original drum sets that Meg White played in the White Stripes' "The Hardest Button to Button" video. (There will also be a Shaw benefit show at Detroit's Magic Stick on February 7, featuring Greg Cartwright, Tyvek, the Go, Danny Krona, Dial Tones, and more.)

But, hey, uh, Meg? You've been missing in action for a minute. You've been through a nervous breakdown and a sex tape that turned out to not be real, and now your bandmate and fake brother Jack White is off farting around with his not-bad-but-really-just-not-great side project the Raconteurs. Maybe you should think about playing those drums? We know you have more drum sets (that video had like 30 kits in it), so, uh, can you make some more White Stripes albums? Please?
