Visitors with disabilities tour the Museum.

The Museum is committed to making both its building and programs accessible to visitors with disabilities. The following services and programs exemplify the year-round opportunities for participants of all ages and abilities at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Services and Amenities
Assistive-Listening Devices assistive-listening device
FM assistive-listening devices are available for lectures and films in Remis Auditorium and in the Riley Seminar Room. In the galleries, these devices may be used for art tours. No reservations are required for devices in Remis Auditorium or for the drop-in tours. For programs held in Riley Seminar Room, or for reserved tours and scheduled classes, please reserve devices in advance. For reservations and further information, call 617-369-3302.

A TTY public pay phone is located in the West Wing coatroom area.

Wheelchairs wheelchair accessible
At each Museum entrance, free manual wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis, without reservations. Personal care attendants and aides assisting visitors who use wheelchairs are admitted free of charge. Please return all wheelchairs after your visit.
Access
Parking and Museum Entry
The Museum Road/West Wing Entrance and the Fenway entrance are both accessible, and both have drop-off areas in front. There are accessible parking spaces on all levels but the first level of the parking garage on Museum Road. For fees, visit Getting Here or call 617-369-3657. Please pay at the automated kiosks in the lobbies before you leave the Museum. There may be times during construction when parking availability changes.

All events in the galleries, Remis Auditorium, the Calderwood Courtyard, and the Riley Seminar Room are wheelchair accessible.

Courtyard Café
Both the café and adjoining courtyard are wheelchair accessible. Signage in the café directs visitors to the accessible courtyard entrance. Concerts in the Courtyard take place in this area and may be accessed from the West Wing by taking the elevator to level "C". Once at level "C" follow the hallway to the café. Once in the café, look to the right for the courtyard entrance.

Bank of America Access Programs
Access to Art wheelchair accessible American Sign Language
Access to Art tours are designed for groups of teens and adults with disabilities, and includes a program for visitors with Alzheimer's. For visitors with Alzheimer's an individual tour is available as well. These tours are also offered in American Sign Language (ASL). There is no fee for this program, but pre-registration is required. Artful Adventures wheelchair accessible American Sign Language
Groups of children and teens with disabilities are served through Artful Adventures, an inclusive program at the MFA. For more information call 617-369-3303, (TTY) 617-267-9703, or visit the Groups page for details and to register online.

Beyond the Screen for people with low vision
Beyond the Screen offers self-guiding materials for visitors who are blind or have low vision. These materials focus on a special installation in the Asian collection and are available, free of charge, at the Sharf Visitor Center. This program requires no pre-registration.

A Feeling for Form (FFF) for people with low vision
FFF is a program that provides access for visitors of all ages who are blind or have low vision. A Feeling for Form is an opportunity for tours of the collections through tactile exploration of selected sculpture and furniture, and through verbal description, tactile diagrams, and objects for artworks that cannot be touched. Trained Museum volunteers and Access staff lead these tours. We are currently expanding program offerings; call for more information. A Hand’s Reach to Art American Sign Language
A Hand's Reach to Art provides access to MFA programs and events for visitors who are Deaf or hard of hearing. Throughout the year, a selection of gallery tours, performances, and demonstrations are presented in American Sign Language (ASL) or are sign-language interpreted.
