Glasvegas Set to Drop Self-Titled Debut, Hit the Road
Scuzzy, Spector-indebted Scottish set Glasvegas have signed on with Columbia Records, which will issue the band's self-titled debut in the UK September 8. The disc is due to follow in the States in early 2009.
And, much like the LP, Glasvegas are on their way to the U.S. too-- once they get the UK out of the way. The band has dates on either side of the pond looming, with their U.S. run highlighted by a spot opening up for Echo & the Bunnymen in New York City. This Echo character must be a fan; the band will warm the stage for him again in Liverpool come late November.
