Audion, M.A.N.D.Y., Tiefschwarz, Hawtin Play Minitek

Fans of all that blips, bloops, clicks, clacks, whizzes, and whirs, keep your headphones on and lend me your eyes: the inaugural Minitek Festival and all the onomatopoetic goodness that comes with it descends on New York City from September 12-14.

For three days and three nights, NYC's Penn Plaza and Coney Island will be astir with the shaking of hips and the nodding of heads, owing to such fine folks as Matthew Dear (under his Audion alias), M.A.N.D.Y. in collaboration with Tiefschwarz, Richie Hawtin, Heartthrob, Butane, Magda, Pan-Pot, Martin Buttrich, François K, Troy Pierce, Heidi, and plenty of others.

The "Electronic Music + Innovation" festival will also host a special area where people can mess around with Ableton software and other music technology, and utilize some crazy-futuristic wristbands that apparently double as debit cards. Nice! Now you can get your blip-blip shsk-bidit-boop on without worrying about your ch-ching.
