Cass McCombs Signs UK Deal with 4AD, Preps Second LP


Former Baltimore resident and current badass singer/songwriter Cass McCombs is gearing up for a monster 2005. Having just signed a UK distribution deal with 4AD, the Monitor Records songsmith is now prepping his full-length follow-up to his 2003 debut, A. Entitled PREfection, the album is due February 1st, and will include 10 tracks with titles that indicate he's recently drawn a not-insignificant amount of inspiration from his new fog-bound London digs. Tracklist:

Incidentally, McCombs is also capping off his 2004 today with the release of his first 4AD single. Titled "Sacred Heart"-- and featuring the exclusive B-side "Twins"-- the track is culled from his upcoming full-length. He's also got some European shows lined up, if you're into that sort of thing. Pervert.
