Wilderness Launch First Major U.S. Tour, Ready Debut

Now, just hold on, bro, just cooooool out, because late last week, the band kicked off their first major tour, which means that those of you who live anywhere near the Midwest or Southeast can already hear and watch these dudes do their thing before their record even hits the street. As of right now, there are 13 gigs lined up over the next eleven days-- including one sweltering hot but highly anticipated free show happening tonight at Chicago's Empty Bottle (crank up the AC, dudes)-- on which they'll be dragging along a group of fellow Baltimorans with a name that's quite the opposite of their own: The Internet. Oh, metacrazy.

Okay, but when is the album coming out, anyway? Well, whoever's running the show over at the lovely Jagjaguwar label ain't gonna keep you waiting too much longer: The quartet's debut, authoritatively titled Wilderness, is due in stores on July 5. And the band description on their site is careful to note that group does indeed consist of "four human beings." So it won't be a bunch of animals and foliage on stage, although we recognize that's an idea with potential. Maybe we can haul over the office death plant. Dates:
