Pitchfork: Rah Bras Begin Brief Tour Tonight

Richmond, Virginia spazz/electro/goth trio Rah Bras are my favorite band named after an article of clothing right now (sorry the Shirts and Pants Yell!). Actually, that's putting it mildly: Rah Bras just might be my favorite band named after anything right now.

Their forthcoming album WHOHM, which hits store shelves on November 7 via Lovitt Records, is the freakout record I always wanted Lightning Bolt/the Locust/An Albatross/Men's Recovery Project/Daughters/Some Girls/Ex Models/Blood Brothers to make. (One of the Rah Bras guys used to be in Men's Recovery Project, by the way.) It's glorious and powerful and melodic and synth-tastic, and it's got robot voices and opera breakdowns and actual songs.

The rest of the Pitchfork staff thinks I'm crazy. But I think they're crazy for liking Deerhoof. Listen for yourself - here's the WHOHM tracklist:
