Lil Wayne Stars in Reality Show, Rambles
Still outperforming the typical expectations for pothead productivity, Lil Wayne will star in an online reality show called "Making the Next Hit! With Lil Wayne" on TheNext.tv.
According to a report from Billboard.com, veteran rapper Busy Bee and "Party Like a Rockstar" producer Pit will host the show. Said TheNext.tv's David Swagga, "We'll air 27 hour-long episodes because we'll be taping the talent searches in 27 cities," including upcoming stops in Detroit, Atlanta, and Savannah.
Despite the fact that the show's producers are looking for talent in music, modeling, and comedy, there will only be one winner, apparently. And Billboard.com reports that the Lil Wayne-fronted Cash Money Records may or may not sign the winning act.
"Making the Next Hit!" will premiere online in January 2008, and "will culminate in a celebrity bash held in Miami," according to producer Noel Rodriguez.
Even since Da Drought 3, Lil Wayne continues to make more music than will fit in human ears. In a recent YouTube video, he rambles on about multiple mixtapes, the release of Tha Carter 3, a collaborative single and album with Juelz Santana, a Birdman album, and a rock album by a band consisting of Young Money Entertainment MCs. That band's name? Bad Ass Grasshopper. Judge for yourself whether or not he's joking by watching the video here:
