Arizona Senate Chambers
The
Arizona Senate is the upper chamber of the
Arizona State Legislature. It consists of thirty state senators. Each of the senators represents a district with an average population of about 170,000 residents, as of the 2000 census. Members serve two-year terms with
term limits, limiting Senators to four terms (a total of eight years). Members of the Republican Party are currently in the majority in the Senate.
