Horror protagonists have been pretty brash lately. They are running and gunning down hordes of zombies with submachine guns before diving out of the way of an exploding car to duck behind a wall to reload. Their partners actually provide them backup and cover fire as opposed to deciding to “split up and look for clues”.

And then Midway shall unleash onto the masses a cross over title between the DC Universe and a fighter no one has cared about in years.”
Valve recently released the opening video from its upcoming LEFT 4 DEAD title, a fairly substantial CGI movie. Weighing in at four and a half minutes, it depicts the 4 survivors traveling though the city apparently looking for survivors. It culminates in a large battle scene at the end of the video and if the action and look of this trailer holds true to the actual game play gamers are in for a huge treat when the game is released. I’m a big fan of immersive IP’s. I like it when brand or property spans multiple platforms and mediums, because if I really do like it, I have the option of getting involved to an extent that pleases me, often times to a dangerous level where I forget to shower, leave the house, eat correctly, or my girlfriend leaves me and then my dog dies but I don’t notice because I’m too busy waving a Wii remote in the air with one hand and trying to go through my collectable cards with the other. And then I die a little inside. But that’s a story for another time.
