Today's birthday (Feb. 7). Keep plugging away at the job this year, even when it gets frustrating. You're building for the future—both your own and everyone else's. It's a test to see which system will prevail. Competition leads to creativity.

Aries: Today is a 6. Tempers are short. People are liable to say what they really feel. Sometimes this is a good thing, of course, but sometimes it gets downright awkward. This is more like that. Stifle. March 21-April 19

Taurus: 7. Busy yourself with local errands. Save the long trip for later. If you simply must travel now, take along enough spare change to buy a toothbrush, in case you forget yours. April 20-May 20

Gemini: 7. It's a good day to increase your income—the old, traditional way. Ask your parents what to do. You'll get lots of good advice. May 21-June 21

Cancer: 7. The debate continues. You still have time to get in a few more good reasons. Competition makes you have to come up with a better product. June 22-July 22

Leo: 7. It's not a good idea to discuss your project with the competition. Wait until you have all the rough spots sanded out. July 23-Aug. 22

Virgo: 7. Communications are still a difficulty because of misunderstandings and hurt feelings. If you encounter any of this, help clean up the mess. Aug. 23-Sept. 22

Libra: 7. Everyone seems to agree that something has to be done. That's where the agreement stops. Input from everyone could lead to the perfect mix. Sept. 23-Oct. 22

Scorpio: 7. Not a good time to spill the beans. Let them try to figure out what you know, while you do the same thing back. Neither of you will get very far, actually, but it's good practice. Oct. 23-Nov. 21

Sagittarius: 7. Continue to behave frugally. When you look in your piggy bank, there's always something in there. You love it when that happens. Nov. 22-Dec. 21

Capricorn: 7. Be very careful what you say. It might be even better to be the good listener now. Dec. 22-Jan. 19

Aquarius: 6. You might think all the mess that's going on now is funny. Don't laugh right in front of them, though. Jan. 20-Feb. 18

Pisces: 7. Stay out of the controversy as much as possible. When others want your opinion they'll ask for it. Feb. 19-March 20
