Valerie Project Schedule More Shows, Plan Drag City LP Philly folk weirdos the Valerie Project (who count among their ranks members of Espers, Fern Knight, and Fursaxa) have added a few gigs to their itinerary, and they are also planning to hit the studio soon.

The band have three new performances of their live soundtrack to 1970 coming-of-age horror/fantasy film Valerie and Her Week of Wonders, the first of which is tomorrow (June 16) in Philadelphia. Then, they'll head to London for a previously reported appearance at Jarvis Cocker's Meltdown Festival (where they will open for the man himself) on June 23. And finally, they will play a Halloween extravaganza at New York City's Museum of Modern Art on October 30.

The Valerie Project will translate their live show to record for a November release on Drag City, and a full-blown fall tour of the U.S. and Europe is in the works.
