Lagwagon
“I Think My Older Brother Used To Listen To Lagwagon” is the latest Lagwagon album out on Fat Wreck Chords. It came out already but be sure to pick that up if you haven’t already! Steve Bauer decided to send some questions over to Joey Cape. Here’s what he had to say:
How has life been going recently? Has it been relaxing, busy, boring?
Busy, boring but fun. It’s always changing. I’ve been on tour a lot these days.
Deadly Sins
Deadly Sins just released their debut full-length album “Selling Our Weaknesses” out on Durty Mick Records. Adam Coozer and ReadJunk.com’s new interviewer Steve Bauer sent some questions for the lead singer Steph. Here’s what she said:
Stereophonics
Stereophonics just played the U.S for a short tour. They are about to release a Best-Of album “Decade in the Sun: Best of Stereophonics” in November. ReadJunk.com recently sent the band a few questions and Javier was nice enough to respond.
Decade in the Sun: Best of Stereophonics is coming out in November. How did the selection process go? Was it more difficult to pick out songs than you thought?
The Pier (Pilipo)
Lets start off by telling all of the Readjunkies a little bit about The Pier.
The Pier first launched online August 2007 - the creation behind the site was to positively promote reggae-hip hop-rock music and give fans the opportunity to read and interact with their favorite bands from the scene. We want to take the summer beach good vibes to the virtual world when you cant be there in the reality.
Plan 9
Plan 9 is an awesome Misfits-influenced punk band that started out as a tribute band. They now have original music and released their latest album “Manmade Monster” on Nickel and Dime Records. ReadJunk.com’s Amy Schroeder sent the band a few questions and Barrie the bass player responded.
Plan 9 has been described (by MRR) as starting the genre “Misfits.” Do you consider that an accurate label?
The Levellers
Theres no hiding it. The Levellers are one of my favorite bands. Everything they have released is absolutely brilliant including their brand new album Letters from the Underground. It was released in the UK in August 2008 but there is currently no release date set for the USA. ReadJunk.com had the opportunity to send over some questions to Jeremy Cunningham of the Levellers. This is what he had to say:
“Letters From The Underground” is about to be released and I think its one of your best albums! Is it a little daunting to try to follow-up on an album that is (or will be) so well-received?

The Copyrights
Brad Cole, the current mayor of Carbondale, asserts that Carbondale is “the capital of southern Illinois.” While that’s an odd claim for a town of only 25,000, one thing is for sure: local heroes The Copyrights are the capital of southern Illinois ROCK! (Well, besides The Black Fortys.)
