One dude's opinion: The New York guitars-and-bloops duo Ratatat's LP3, quiet as it's kept, was one of last year's best electronic albums. And there's more to come from these two.

Last May, we reported that Animal Collective and YACHT would remix Ratatat's single "Mirando", and last week, XL finally released a 12" single with the Animal Collective and YACHT remixes included. Now that AC's epic ten-minute reworking is out there in the world, maybe we'll be forced to acknowledge how good these guys still are.

Either way, the Ratatat dudes are taking their emotive beats on the road once again this spring, and playing some pretty big venues, too. Expect trippy back-wall projections.
