Article of the Now — Fail While most Internet memes have the lifespan of mayflies, Fail is defiantly here to stay. This meme was allegedly spawned from the Engrish version of the Japanese arcade game Blazing Star. In the game when you lose it screams "YOU FAIL IT!" Some argue that it has been around since before that, maybe since the beginning of time (which in netspeak is about 2003). Either way Fail is a meme that will no doubt live on in internets lexicon forever as a popular term and the spark of other lulz such as failfag, epic fail guy, and Fail Blog.
